Do you have passion, energy and a commitment to improve the lives of the citizens of Wales then a career training as a chartered accountant at Audit Wales, the public sector watchdog for Wales may be what you are looking for! We are looking for the future leaders within the public sector in Wales; and are genuinely interested in who you are, your strengths and your potential.
You will follow a four-year fixed-term graduate training programme to train to become a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). You will work with our teams across Wales, to deliver a variety of audit services and help scrutinise and improve public services.
Working within teams across Audit Wales, you will have opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of our financial and performance audit work.
In addition, our Graduate Programme offers the unique development opportunity to undertake secondments; this could be internally or across the wider Public Sector and to other publicly funded organisations and qualify for a level 3 award from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Public bodies are spread far and wide across Wales and as trainees you may be expected to travel to various client bodies across Wales. While we try and ensure that you work close to where you live, we can’t guarantee this. However, we can guarantee that no two days will be the same and you will join an organisation committed to supporting the development of finance leaders of the future.
Further information about the role can be found in our recruitment pack.
For an informal discussion about the job please contact Sian Grainger on 02920320547.
While this post is currently benefitting from an additional annual travel allowance payable monthly (subject to eligibility), this allowance is currently under review.
